At 374 acres Wimbleball provides plenty of water to explore, with many bays and room for long drifts in a boat. It is stocked with rainbow trout regularly, averaging 2lb and up to 8lb, their condition is exceptional. Just look at the tail on the 5lb 2oz rainbow I caught fishing from a boat by the causway. Wimbleball fishes well throughout the year providing excellent top of the water action. It has a mayfly hatch in late June, at other times on a sink tip line or intermediate, Buzzers and Daiwl Bach can provide the best sport.
